About

I like problems that sit between disciplines — a camera pipeline that also needs an inference budget, or an API that has to model a five-level org chart without becoming unreadable.

I started in native Android at BJIT Academy, moved into enterprise R&D at BJIT Limited, and have since worked the full width of the stack: CameraX and FFMPEG media pipelines, ARCore navigation calibrated against gyroscope and accelerometer data, on-device small language models converted with ai-edge-torch and ExecuTorch, and Odoo/Django ERP migrations across major version jumps.

Right now I am building the backend for an international production-machine manufacturer's customer support portal — a tRPC/Express service with Prisma and MySQL, cascading role-based permissions over a five-level organizational hierarchy, Cognito JWT auth, separate admin and customer API surfaces, external integrations with Redmine and Zaico, batch workers, and Vitest coverage, deployed to AWS Lambda through CDK.

What carries across all of it is the same set of habits: design the architecture before the code, keep boundaries clean, write the document that explains the decision, and leave the system easier to change than I found it.

    Lead engineer across mobile, backend and AI workstreams for enterprise and R&D clients, from architecture through release.

    • Designed and built a tRPC/Express backend with Prisma and MySQL for an industrial equipment support portal, modelling a 5-level organizational hierarchy with cascading role-based permissions and Cognito JWT authentication.
    • Shipped separate admin and customer API layers, external integrations (Redmine, Zaico inventory sync) and batch workers, with Vitest coverage; deployed on AWS Lambda via CDK.
    • Built native Android features in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose — CameraX 2.0 capture and cropping, ExoPlayer playback, and FFMPEG media composition.
    • Delivered AR navigation with ARCore and Sceneform, calibrating heading from gyroscope and accelerometer and layering live OpenWeatherMap data over 3D animations.
    • Researched and integrated small language models for on-device use — converting ViT models with ai-edge-torch and ExecuTorch, and applying KMeans clustering over image embeddings.
    • Migrated BJIT's ERP modules from Odoo 11 to Odoo 16 and upgraded the Django system from Python 3.7 to 3.10, resolving compatibility breaks across both.
