BJIT ERP & MiniERP Migration

Migrated Django-XML ERP modules from Odoo 11 to Odoo 16 and lifted the runtime from Python 3.7 to 3.10.

Overview

A two-front migration. The first was moving BJIT's internal ERP modules — Django and XML based — across five major Odoo versions, from 11 to 16. Five versions of accumulated API change meant most modules needed reworking rather than porting: ORM signatures, view inheritance, access-control definitions and QWeb templates had all moved.

The second was the runtime itself, taking the Django system from Python 3.7 to 3.10 and resolving the dependency and syntax breaks that came with it, without losing stability for the people using the system daily.

On the MiniERP side I customised Odoo 16 modules to client specification and built localization support for regions Odoo did not previously cover.
